Annulment Ministry – Provides assistance to divorced persons seeking a judgment on the validity/invalidity of their former marriage (Annulment). Meetings are scheduled with Petitioner as needed. Bereavement Dinner Ministry – Parishioners prepare and serves a dinner for bereaved families and friends following the funeral of their loved one. Christian Service – Serve physical, social, emotional and financial needs of the St. John Parishioners and Davison area people. Serve the needy 24 hours, 7 days a week as needed. Business meeting every other month or as need arises. Contact: David and Mary Ann Moore (810) 742-8618
Genesee County Catholic Women’s Jail Ministry – To bring hope, encouragement and the love of God to women in the Genesee County Jail by sharing the Bible, the Catholic faith and Mass once per month. Meeting once per week, on Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Contact: Joann Sargenson (810) 631-2372
Grief Ministry – A lay Grief Support Group (the Gathering), that meets at the St. John Family Center, once a week at 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays between September and January. After January, meetings are scheduled as needed. Contact: Patty Wesener (810) 636-7802
Ministry to the Home Bound/Sick – Takes the Eucharist weekly to persons who are unable to come to church for a period of time, usually on Fridays, between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., and after Sunday Masses, if necessary. Contact: Veronica Ur (810) 653-2377 ext 223
North End Soup Kitchen (N.E.S.K.) – Assist in preparing and serving meals to needy persons on the third Thursday of the month between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Contact: Yvonne Masson (810) 653-8894
Outreach East – Assists needy persons in the Greater Davison area and M-15 corridor by supplying food, shelter, utility payments, etc., thus fulfilling Christ’s mandate to feed the hungry and shelter the homeless.
