RECENTLY DECEASED: Marian Louise Kassin

Marian Louise Kassin of Davison, age 78 died Monday March 5, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital, Flint. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Tuesday March 13, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, Celebrant. Family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 am Tuesday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Marian’s memory to the American Red Cross. Marian was born in Flint Michigan on March 15, 1939 the daughter of the late Orville & Leona (Pelke) Kennedy and has resided in Davison since 1978. Marian was an active volunteer with both the American Red Cross, and Goodwill Industries. She was known by family and friends as the Queen of Garage Sales which made you wonder if it was a hobby or a career. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Davison and had been employed by St. Joseph Hospital and then Hurley Medical Center spending over thirty-two years until her retirement. Surviving are her children: Jerrie Lynn (Mike) Silvanic, Robert (Lucy) Kassin, Pete Kassin, Sue (Bob) Gwinnup, Frank (Debbie) Kassin, Albert Kassin, Larry (Dawn) Kassin, Theresa (Ken) Hillier, and Rudy (Janet) Kassin. Also her loving twenty-four grandchildren and many great grandchildren: her brothers; Jack Daniels, and Mike Kennedy. Marian is preceded in death by her grandson Robert Paul “Bubba” Kassin, sisters Betty, Kathy, and brother Gerald. Share your condolences at
