Ann Marie Christensen-Rugh passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022. She was born August 29, 1967 in Waynesburg PA. Growing up in MIchigan, Ann performed with the Oakclowns clown troupe, and acted in school plays and sang in the Madrigal Choir at Our lady of the Lakes High School in Waterford. She competed in speech and debate at Marian High in Birmingham MI. Ann graduated from Marian in 1985 and attended the University of Detroit where she was a member of Kappa Beta Gamma Sorority. She served with the Mercy Volunteer Corps and Passionate Lay Missionaries in St. Louis MO and Allentown PA. Ann earned a degree in Broadcast Media from Specs Howard School of Broadcasting and was a broadcaster in Chillicothe, OH. It was there that she met her husband, John “Jeff” Rugh. They married in 2000.
Ann was an avid reader and a talented and prolific artist. She created art in watercolors, drawings, pottery and sculpture. She was always generous with her creations and shared them with friends and family. Jeff and Anne also loved and doted over their Maine Coon cat Moses.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband Jeff. She is survived by her parents, John and Joyce Christensen, her brother Stephen Christensen and his wife Michele, her nephew John and niece Maybelle, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
