Williams, David James – Age 81, of Davison, died September 3, 2022. Memorial service will be held 12 PM Tuesday, September 13 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. Burial will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 10 AM Tuesday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to Genesee County Humane Society. Dave was born September 26, 1940 in Flint, the son of Cliff and Jeanne (Barrett) Williams. He attended Flint Northern High School graduating in 1958. Dave served his Country in the United States Army from 1958-1961. He was employed at General Motors-SPO from 1961 until his retirement in 1994 with 30 years of supervision. Dave loved sports, music and working out at Davison Athletic Club. He also loved University of Michigan, Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Tigers, and classic rock. Dave is survived by his daughters, Jeannette (son-in-law Rocky) Hawley of West Bloomfield, Erin Williams of Grand Blanc; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Dave Zyber of Metamora; grandchildren, Jakob, Joshua, Christina, Evan, and Madeline; nephew, Chip Underwood of Colorado Springs, CO.; several cousins, particularly Jack Barrett of Chesaning; close friends, Harold Payer, Heather Wark of Davison, Gorman Young of Clio, Pete Whitman of Gulf Shores, AL; mother of his children, Patricia Williams; last but not least his beloved dog, Bernard.
