FLORENCE (DIPZINSKI) CROSSEN, 94, passed away February 25, 2020. She was born in Pontiac, MI on December 16, 1925, the daughter of Anthony and Helen Dipzinski. She graduated from Davison High School in 1943. Florence married John Crossen in 1950 and had three children. She retired from St. Joseph’s Hospital after 28 years of employment. Florence enjoyed traveling and camping. She loved all the National Parks and South Higgins Lake State Park in Michigan. Her hobbies were playing golf, bowling, gardening and she was an avid sports fan. She loved rooting for her favorites in the PGA, as well as the Michigan State Spartans, and the Detroit Tigers. She was a lifelong Democrat and union supporter.
Florence is survived by her children, Victoria (Kevin), Toni (Cathy), and John (Colleen); six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Robert and Theodore, and one sister, Delores. She was preceded in death by parents, Anthony and Helen; husband, John; brothers, Casmer, Dennis, Joseph, and Gerald. Her death was followed by sister, Maxine.
A memorial Mass will take place at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison at 12 p.m. September 20, 2023. The family will receive visitors one hour before the service.
