TUSCHER, Gertrude Rose (D’Ary) – of Burton, MI, age 79, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 PM Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 6336 Roberta Street, Burton, MI 48509; Rev. Fr. Dieudonné Ntakarutimana celebrant. Interment immediately following the Mass in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 11 AM-12 PM Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 6 PM Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home.
Trudy was born in Flint, MI on December 13, 1943, daughter of the late Phillip and Rose (Fonzasin) D’Ary. She was a graduate of St. Michael High School in Flint, MI Class of 1961. On November 27, 1965, she married Joseph E. Tuscher in Flint, MI. Throughout her life, Trudy was a beacon of light in her community. She dedicated her time and talents to Bentley Schools and Vogt’s Flowers, leaving an indelible mark on those she served. Trudy’s faith was an integral part of her life, and she was a devoted member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Her unwavering faith brought comfort and inspiration to those around her. Trudy was not just a woman of work and faith, but she also embraced her unique passions. She was an amateur radio operator with the call sign KB8VUF, connecting with people across the airwaves and sharing her enthusiasm for communication. Her love for knitting was another of her many talents, creating warmth and comfort with every stitch. And her adventurous spirit led her to explore the world through her travels, creating memories that will forever live in the hearts of those who joined her on these journeys. Trudy’s kindness, grace, and zest for life were evident to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and a host of beautiful memories that will continue to inspire and comfort her family and friends.
Trudy is survived by her husband, Joseph Tuscher; 2 children, Joseph (Danette) Tuscher Jr. and Gregory (Kendra) Tuscher; 5 grandchildren, Ryan Tuscher, Sam Tuscher, Joel Tuscher, Brenden Tuscher and Ben (Erica) Hogendyk; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers; 2 nieces; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Rose D’Ary.
