BORIS, Harry A. – of Davison, MI, age 93, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 Noon Friday, May 13, 2022, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski and Rev. Fr. Carl Simon con-celebrants. Interment with military honors will take place following the Mass at St. John Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-8PM Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. The family will receive visitors the hour prior to the Mass at church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation (t2t.org).
Harry was born in Flint, MI on August 29, 1928, son of the late Harry and Agatha (Jacobs) Boris. He married Dolores Louise DeWitt on May 19, 1951, and she preceded him in death on October 19, 2017. Harry retired from AC Spark Plug in 1987 after 39 years of service. He was the original “car guy” and it was said that gasoline ran through his veins. He was a family man who worked multiple jobs to provide for his loving family. Harry was a devout Catholic and valued his parochial education from St Matthew’s and St Michael’s.
Harry is survived by his 7 children, Cynthia (Victor) Lake, Gerald (Dru) Boris, Julia (David) Yakel, Vincent (Tricia) Boris, John Boris, Maria Chappell and Bethany (Danny) Boris; 15 grandchildren, Michael, Nathan, Stephanie, Brian, Lindsay, Christopher, Steven, Julianne, Jillian, Kenneth, Kyle, Hunter, Caleb, Mallory and Katelyn; 10 great-grandchildren, Miles, Elise, Jack, Tommy, Sloane, Bodhi, Riley, Wesley, Rylie and Samuel; brother, Victor ( Shelby) Boris; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Boris. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Celeste Marie; son-in-law, Kim Michael Lavalle; brothers, Thomas and Charles; sisters, Joan Beholz and Jane McAvinchey.
