JONES, Kerry Michael – of Flint, MI, age 62, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 PM Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Cremation will take place following the Mass. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 12-1 PM Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, in Kerry’s memory.
Kerry was born in Flint, MI on August 18, 1961, son of the late Kenneth and Dorothy (Horton) Jones. He was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1979. Kerry went on to earn a Bachelor of Computer Science Degree from the University of Michigan-Flint. On May 15, 1998, Kerry married the love of his life, Kelly Crawford, in Flint, MI. Kerry was a skilled finish carpenter for his family’s business, Ken’s Kustom Kitchens. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were admired by all who worked alongside him. Later, Kerry worked as an IT technician. He was a member of both St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Kerry had a zest for life. His adventurous spirit led him to explore the depths as a scuba diver and to test his limits as a former Genesee County Diver and runner. Above all, Kerry cherished time spent with his beloved family. Kerry was especially proud of his children and their accomplishments. Whether it was simply enjoying each other’s company at home or taking vacations, Kerry’s devotion to his family knew no bounds. Kerry will be remembered for his kindness, his passion for life, his smile, his laugh, and the lasting impact he had on all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Kerry is survived by his wife, Kelly Jones; 3 children, Tanner (Lisa) Jones, Savanah Jones and Lexa Jones; 4 siblings, Keith Jones, Karen Spinney, Kelly (Rick) Vega and Kris (Melissa) Jones; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Dorothy Jones; sister, Kathy Chheda and niece, Kavita Chheda.
