Peggy was born in Bay City, MI on January 21, 1941, daughter of Ernest “Pete” and Marie (Hartley) Sampier. After her father’s death in 1946, Peggy was then lovingly raised by Frank “Mac” and Marie McDougall when they married in 1950. One of her greatest joys was when she was adopted at the age of 50 by her father, Frank.

Peggy graduated from Northern High School in 1959. She married Kenneth Hall on July 18, 1959 and he preceded her in death on March 16, 2001.

Together Peggy and Ken lovingly raised four children. They provided a home filled with love, much laughter and plenty of singing! Peggy couldn’t carry a tune but as long as the music was loud enough and her husband was leading, she would sing like she could! She and her husband enjoyed dancing and spent many years of enjoyment camping, especially at Harrisville State Park where they met up with family and friends each year.

After 41 years, she retired from a career she thoroughly loved, as VP at Vienna Investment & Morgan Development in Flint. Peggy also enjoyed a small business she and her daughter, Michele created, “A Tisket A Tasket Gifts in a Basket”.

In her later years, Peggy’s love of her Catholic faith grew along with her love for Jesus. She enjoyed her Scripture Studies and all the people she met in her church community. Most recently she volunteered and spent time praying for others as part of the prayer request ministry.

Peggy is survived by her 4 children, Melanie (Butch) Leix, Marty (Marie) Hall, Michele (Mike) Spinney, Matthew (Sally) Hall; 9 grandchildren, Nick Hall, Vinny (Marina) Hall, Justin (Jamie) Miller, Krystal (Jeremy) Taliercio, Kase (Rachel) Spinney, Summer (Dakota) Spinney, Vann (Jaci) Spinney,Trevor Hall, Hailey Hall; 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband, Ken Hall, she was also preceded in death by her parents, many in-laws, lifelong friends and former son-in-law Larry Miller.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Outreach East.
