Mary Lou Miller

MILLER, Mary Lou – of Flint, age 85, died Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Kith Haven in Flint. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass will be held 10:30AM, Saturday, June 8, 2019 at St. Johns Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton Street, Davison. Fr. Andrew Czajkowski officiating. Family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday from 9:30AM until the time of Mass at 10:30AM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Catholic Church of Davison.

Mary Lou was born March 9, 1934 in Flint, Michigan to the late Ernest and Isabella (Sutter) Roesner. She married Ronald Miller on October 26, 1957 in Flint. Mary Lou worked briefly for General Motors and also worked as a Lunch Supervisor for Dye Elementary in Flint. She was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church in Davison. Mary Lou enjoyed going to the casino, traveling, and cheering on her Michigan Wolverines. She also enjoyed reading books, visiting with other residents and family and friends. She loved having long talks with Kathy, the receptionist at Kith Haven, who eventually became a dear friend of Mary Lou’s.

Surviving are: Husband, Ronald Miller; Children: Timothy (Cindy) Miller, Stephen (Patty) Miller, and Veronica (Julie) Miller; Grandchildren: Lauren Bowen, Lindsay Hill, and Kyle Miller; Great grandson, Christian Bowen; Daughter-in-law, Karyn Miller; Brother, Harold (Tiny) Roesner and Sister-in-laws, Geraldine Roesner and Janet Roesner; Several nieces and nephews, and very dear friend Mary Lou Fink. She was also preceded in death by: Son, Richard “Richie” Miller; Brothers: John, Ralph and Robert Roesner; Sister: Eva Hilvers and husband, Elmer; Sister-in-laws: Colleen Roesner and Lena Roesner. The family would like to extend a special thank you to nieces, Joanne Kelley and Libby Pittenger for always being there for Aunt Mary Lou. They would also like to thank the staff at Kith Haven for their daily care during the twelve years of Mary Lou’s residency there.
