Patricia Therese Sullivan, age 71, lifetime Lapeer resident, died Tuesday April 27, 2021, after a brief, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born May 16, 1949 in Flint, to Francis and Mary (DeView) Sullivan.
Pat graduated from Lapeer High School in 1967 and went on to attend Cleary University (Business School). After attending business school, she went to work as a bookkeeper for Bostick Foundry here in Lapeer. Miss Sullivan worked over 30 years at the Lapeer Agency Insurance Office, where she was the bookkeeper and also wore many other “hats”. Recently she worked part-time at the Meijers store here in Lapeer as a checker, at Meijers Pat enjoyed meeting new people, seeing old insurance clients and time spent with her “Meijer Family”. Patricia was a lifetime member of Immaculate Conception Church here in Lapeer. She was a huge Michigan State University fan! Pat was a farmer at heart and was proud of her beautiful perennial flower gardens. Miss Sullivan was hardworking, had a great sense of humor, was quick witted, loved talking with others…and always had a clever “comeback”.
Patricia is survived by her sister: Julia (Earl Gravlin) Sullivan of Lapeer; sister-in-law: Carole Sullivan of Flint; niece: Debra (Kevin) Gorlewski of Shelby Twp.; nephew: Philip Sullivan of Flint; great-niece: Kaitlyn Gorlewski; great-nephew: Nolan Gorlewski; other extended family including several step-nieces/nephews, many many cousins and her Meijer Team members who were always there to support her. She was preceded in death by her parents: Francis and Mary Sullivan; and brother: Peter Sullivan.
