Paul’s childhood was filled with rambunctious love. Throughout his early years he lived in Flint and Davison while spending many summer days in Port Huron. Paul graduated from LakeVille High School in 1975, married his high school sweetheart in 1976 began their lives and family in 1977 while settling into their Otisville home in 1978.
After high school, Paul began working with his father and later became co-owner and future owner of Fairway Discount Stores where he worked for 45 years. When he wasn’t working at his stores or traveling for business, he enjoyed cooking his family breakfast on Sundays, he could make any type of egg to order, his specialties were sunny side up eggs and omelets, reading the “funnies”, camping in northern Michigan and visiting Indialantic Beach, Florida. He welcomed everyone to his home to play a game of sand volleyball. He could make you laugh until you cry, scare you with his ghost stories or his impression of a velociraptor. He had a particular skill set in sarcasm, he was funny!
