Thomas Henry Carriveau of Genesee age 80 died Thursday June 21, 2018 at Mission Point of Holly. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday June 27, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, officiating. A Knights of Columbus Third and Fourth Degree memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday at St. John Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison.
Thomas was born in Spruce Michigan on February 2, 1938 the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Chauvin) Carriveau and has resided in the Flint, Grand Blanc, and Genesee areas. He was joined in marriage to Sally Brinker on July 21, 1978. Answering the call of his country Thomas served in the US Army and was stationed in Ft. Riley Kansas from 1961 until 1963. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Davison, a Member of the Moose Lodge, Knights of Columbus Council #4090 and the Knights of Columbus Choir. He had been employed by General Motors AC Spark Plug Division until his retirement in April 1992.
Surviving is wife: Sally, children; Terry & Heidi Carriveau, Dawn & Tim Hill, Thomas Carriveau, Andrea & Tom McAteer, and Leah Mac Storzer and husband Don Plehn. He also leaves her numerous grand children great grandchildren. Also surviving is brothers; Gerald, Harold, Paul, sisters; Helen, Carol Mary, and a host of extended family. He is precede in death by daughter Stephanie, son David, sisters; Rosemarie, Evelyn, and brothers; Bob, Irvin, Alvin, George, Louis, and Joseph.
