Shirley was born in Flint, MI on May 6, 1939, daughter of the late Carl and Thelma (Reynolds) Liesen.  On May 18, 1957, Shirley and her groom, David Ur, began their life together. In 1958, they built a house and thru love and faith, made it a “home”. Over the next seven years, God blessed them with four beautiful daughters. On December 27, 2013, her beloved David left this earth, but never left her heart. Shirley loved being a wife and mother, she was the happiest when caring for others. If you needed prayers, Shirley was the one to ask, her prayers moved mountains. Shirley worked as a cosmetologist for 28 years, always finding the “beauty” in everyone.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Dawn (Virgil) Avery, Karen (James) Stimson, Carol (Mark) Pyland and Veronica Ur; 10 grandchildren; 12 ½ great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Charles Liesen; sister, Agnes Zimmerman; cherished brother Carl “Butch” Liesen. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Daniel Stimson.
