Kathleen Kaake

KAAKE, Kathleen – of Davison, age 74, passed away Monday, March 17, 2025, at her residence. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 12 PM on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. The family will welcome visitors from 11 AM until the time of the Mass on Saturday, April 5, 2025.

Kathleen was born on May 11, 1950, in Flint, Michigan, the cherished daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Sweeney) Landis. She grew up in Lapeer and graduated from Lapeer High School. Kathleen spent the majority of her adult life in Davison. Over the years, she excelled as a sales professional across various industries, with notable roles at Al Bennett Ford in Davison and Value City Furniture. In her youth, Kathy had a deep passion for horseback riding and developed a love for gardening that stayed with her throughout her life. She took great pleasure from being on the water, especially while on a jetski. Kathy also enjoyed attending estate sales in her free time, always seeking unique treasures. She found joy in swimming and playing racquetball at the Davison Racquet Ball Club, where she formed many fond memories. Above all, her family will remember her as a devoted mother to her daughter, Annjanette, and a loving caretaker to her cherished dogs.

Kathleen is survived by her loving daughter, Annjanette (Ken Lucas) Kaake; two siblings, Richard (Margaret) Landis, Janet Sebert; life-long best friend, Chris (Mark) Patten; her fur-baby, Pierre; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Landis; sister, Lenora (Milton) Harbaum; nephew, Charles Sebert.
