MARY ELAINE TAYLOR, age 80, of Lapeer, died Sunday, December 22, 2024.
Mary was born March 10, 1944 in Detroit to Alfred and Laura (Benninger) Trudell. She graduated from St. Rita High School, class of 1962. She married Joseph S. Taylor on April 25, 1964 at St. Rita Catholic Church in Detroit. Mary dedicated her life to her family. She lived faithfully, had a generous spirit and always had an open heart for others. Mary found joy in flower arranging, travel, watching wildlife around her pond and playing cards – especially cribbage and pinochle.
Mary is survived by her children, Michael (Deborah) Taylor of Fraser, Marie (James) Richard of Cape Elizabeth, Maine and Paul Taylor of Charlevoix; ten grandchildren, Alexander, Justin, Cully, Clark, Sabrina, Silas, Shane, Sawyer, Atticus and Lillian; siblings, James (Mary) Trudell of Chandler, Arizona and Larry Trudell of Farmington. Mary is survived by many loving nieces and nephews including her beloved nephew, John Trudell of Metamora.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Joseph Taylor and her aforementioned parents, Alfred and Laura.
