Mark Mikulski

Mark Allen Mikulski, age 69, of Lapeer, formerly 47 years in New York City, died Saturday November 8, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Mark was born July 22, 1956 in Lapeer to parents Thomas and Sandra (Matthews) Mikulski. He graduated from Lapeer High School, class of 1974.

While high school age, Mark was part of a group of hockey players that pursued and in turn started the Lapeer High School hockey program. Mark moved to New York City at the age of 19; he always dreamt of being a full-time actor. He began and continually acted in theater but was thrilled to work up to roles in movies, tv shows and soap operas. He was proud to be a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) member. He worked in many hospitality positions over the years in support of his acting. He was most honored to work at the 911 Memorial & Museum – where he just felt he had a calling for; due to a rescheduling that kept him out of the Twin Towers the dreadful day of the incident, he knew so many there. Mark also had an adventurous spirit, from skydiving to toboggan luge. He will be missed by many.

He is survived by siblings: Karen (Dave) Hill of Lapeer, Brian Mikulski of Lewiston, Tim (Julie) Mikulski of Homewood, Illinois, Curt (Eileen) Mikulski of Traverse City, Christine (Greg) Jarvis of Metamora and Cheryl (John) Formell of Lake Orion, nieces and nephews: Josh, Amanda, Ashley (Kyle), Ruby, Claire, Sarah, Nathan (Kelly), Kelsey, Courtney and Kirsten, great- nieces & nephews: Gideon, Elena, Keira and one on the way. Mark was preceded in death by his parents: Tom (earlier this year) and Sandy Mikulski as well as his ex-wife & friend: Suki.

His cremation has been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. A memorial gathering will be from 3:30-8:00pm Thursday at Muir Brothers, with a rosary prayed 7PM Thursday at the funeral home. His memorial mass will be 1:00pm Friday November 14, 2025  at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Davison. The family will greet family and friend the hour prior to mass, 12:00-1:00pm.
