Fred was born in Mt. Clemens on March 14, 1945, son of the late William and Margaret (Mancik) Bowman. He married Paula Militello on May 15, 1965 in Detroit, Michigan and she preceded him in death on December 14, 2002. Fred was a man of many talents and passions. He found joy in fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. A skilled tool and die maker, he dedicated his career to GM Buick City before enjoying a well-earned retirement. His love for animals was evident—he cherished his dogs and took pride in raising horses and sheep on his farm. An avid gardener and a true craftsman, he even built his own home Up North. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Fred embraced life with enthusiasm. Charming and quick-witted, he had a knack for making people laugh, lighting up any room with his jokes. He genuinely enjoyed talking to people, leaving a lasting impression wherever he went.
Fred is survived by children: Allen (LeeAnne) Bowman, Holly (Jim) Wallington, Angela Jones, and Kristie Briggs; grandchildren: Blaine, Gavin, Amanda (Ethan), James (Mary), Brenden (Melina), Cassaundra, Kaitlyn (Colin), Brycen, Dayton (Audrey), Emmett, and Keilyn; great grandchildren: Marley, Brady, Myla, Griffin, Braelyn, Paxton, and two more on the way; sister, Patricia (Richard) Gaubatz; sister-in-law, Connie Bowman; many other loving family members and friends.
