LEDNISKE, Janice Clair (Baggarly) – of Columbiaville, formerly of Freeland, MI age 97, met her Savior Friday, July 11, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 PM on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Interment in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens will take place at 11 AM on Friday, July 18, 2025, 7475 East Holland Road, Saginaw, MI 48601. The family will receive visitors from 4 – 7 PM on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and from 12 PM until the time of Mass on Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 PM on Wednesday at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Catholic Church, in Janice’s memory.Janice was born in Winston Salem, NC on March 5, 1928, daughter of the late Clyde and Ruby (Nichols) Baggarly. On April 16, 1966, Janice Wright married Bernard “Bernie” V. Ledniske. Janice and Bernie enjoyed nearly 50 years of marriage before his passing on September 4, 2015. Janice worked as a cashier and was a loving, caring and committed mother to her five children, Eugene, William, James, Debbie and Dennis. Janice lived a life full of passion, laughter and love. She was passionate about her family, regularly attended all activities or functions, showing her family and friends endless support. Janice loved capturing the moment and will be well remembered for her ability to take beautiful photos and provide us countless memories. Her presence was source of joy and laughter, and her absence will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Janice is survived by her 4 adult children, Eugene (Linda) Wright, James Wright, Debbie (Ralph) Fick, and Dennis (Kaye) Wright; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Baggarly and Ruby (Paul) Matula; spouse, Bernard “Bernie” Ledniske; son, William Wright; 3 siblings, Margarete Gifford, James Baggarly, and Dorothy Killingsworth.
