ROOKER, John M. – of Davison, age 60, passed peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2025, surrounded by his four children, at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, November 26th at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton St., Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. The family will welcome visitors from 12:00 PM until the time of the Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, in John’s memory.
John was born in Flint, Michigan on April 30, 1965, son of John and Jane Ellen (Newman) Rooker. John will be remembered for his compassion, sense of humor, and love for his family.
John is survived by his father, John K. Rooker; Laura Rooker and their children, Ashleigh (Jacob) Saldaña, Patrick, Clinton, and Grant Rooker; grandchildren, Gunner, Cruz, Sofia, and Lucia Saldaña; siblings, Jennifer Simonson and Franny Weith; and many other cherished family members and friends.
