TOMCZAK, Lorna K. – Age 70, of Metamora formerly of Fenton beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and lasting memories on October 19, 2024. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, October 26, 2024, at St. John Catholic Church, Davison 404 N. Dayton St., Davison, Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, celebrant. Lorna’s Funeral Mass will be livestreamed and may be viewed on the church’s Facebook page. Visitation 4:00 PM- 8:00 PM Thursday, and 2:00 PM -4:00 PM and 6:00PM -8:00 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek where a Scripture Service will take place 6:00 PM Friday with Deacon Ron Kenney, officiating. Visitation will continue 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Saturday at Church.
Lorna was born October 25, 1953 in Manistique, MI, the daughter of Leonard and Lyle (LaMouria) Multhaupt. Lorna graduated from Powers Catholic High School in Flint in 1973. She married John R. Tomczak at Sacred Heart Church in Flint, November 10, 1979. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Fenton and later St. John Catholic Church in Davison. Lorna’s number one priority in life was to be the best Mom to her two children. She succeeded in this with boundless love and dedication to her family.
An avid bowler, Lorna was a proud member of the Alley Cats Bowling Team, enjoying countless hours at the lanes with friends. She also had a deep love for gardening, taking great pride in cultivating beautiful flowers and plants, which brought color and life to her home. Lorna was a talented and amazing baker, known for creating custom cakes that brought joy to every special occasion.
Lorna had an extraordinary ability to meet new people, effortlessly turning strangers into lifelong friends with her warm personality and kind heart.
Lorna’s greatest joy came from her four grandchildren: Lawson, Mavis, Colton, and Kendall. They were the light of her life, and she dedicated herself to being an active and loving presence in their lives. Above all, her husband John was the love of her life, and their bond was a source of strength and joy throughout her life.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her love and spirit will live on in her family and friends.
Lorna is survived by her husband, John; son, Nicholas (Gina) Tomczak; daughter Krystal (Greg) Kiester; grandchildren, Lawson and Mavis Tomczak; and Colton and Kendall Kiester; sisters, Loretta (Gary) Kralik, and Lenette (Ed) Tomak; and many nieces and nephews.
