STEWART, Robert E. – of Davison, Ml, age 91, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 PM Thursday, January 16, 2025 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, Ml 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Cremation will take place following the Mass. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, Ml 48423 and 12-1 PM Thursday, January 16, 2025 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 6:30 PM Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church or Outreach East, in Robert’s memory.

Robert was born in Flint, Ml on December 16, 1933, son of the late Arthur and Sadie (Kirkbride) Stewart. He married Judith “Judy” Kipp on August 31, 1957 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Grand Blanc, Michigan. He proudly served in the United States Army stationed in Germany and was a graduate of Flint Junior College. Robert founded Stewart & Associates Insurance in 1980 and is proud that his legacy continues with the 3rd generation now involved in the business. He was an active member at St John’s Catholic Church and supported and sponsored many local and community events throughout the years. Robert enjoyed many winters in Madeira Beach and traveling with his wife and best friend Judy. He lived life to the fullest and most importantly dedicated his life to taking care of his wife and family.

Robert is survived by his wife of 67 years Judy; 4 children, Cherie (Walt) Reynolds, Kim (Kevin) Payne, Kipp (Cara) Stewart and Catherine (Tom) Goyette; 10 grandchildren, Matthew (AnnDrue) Reynolds, Jessica (Chris) Vo, Patrick (Lindsay) Reynolds, Stewart Payne, Lauren (Soren) Sorensen, Tyler (Addisen) Stewart, David Stewart, Madeline Goyette, Nick Goyette and Tommy Goyette; 10 great-grandchildren; many dear and close extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Donald and Arthur Stewart.

The family would like to thank the amazing McLaren Health team, especially the 5th floor ICU nurses, for the incredible care they gave to Bob and to the family.
