Dr. Angela Lusty Thomas

Angie was born in Flint, MI on August 15, 1985, the daughter of Jim and Lynn (Yancho) Lusty of Goodrich. She was the loving wife of Nicholas Thomas, married October 10, 2015.

Angie is survived by her husband, Nicholas, and their four beloved children, Nathan, 8, Liam, 6, Aiden, 4, and Nora, 21 months; her parents, Jim and Lynn Lusty; and her three sisters and their husbands, Bonnie and Brandon Wade of Reno, NV, Carrie and Matthew Walla of Saginaw, and Marianne and Jeffrey Slattery of Lincoln, NE, her mother and father-in-law Tony and Darla Thomas, her sister in-law and husband Jenn (Thomas) and Dax Carpenter along with her many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Angie was a 2003 graduate of Powers Catholic High School and a 2012 graduate of Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She had been an animal lover her entire life, and her career path was always very clear. She loved all animals and loved riding horses. As a veterinarian, she cared for every patient with the same compassion and tenderness she would have shown her own. Her devotion to all living things was evident in the way she cared for both animals, insects, and people. She co-owned Pierson Pet Hospital in Davison.

Above all, Angie treasured her family and being a mother. She poured her heart into the people she loved. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She especially enjoyed baking and decorating special birthday cakes for each of her children and nieces and nephews, making each one unique and meaningful.

Angie’s creative spirit was seen through her art work. She was extremely talented and loved to sketch and paint. She was also a wordsmith with poems, songs, and inventive stories. She could spin a tale and have everyone rolling in laughter with her dramatic renditions. She loved the color green and brought fiery, passionate energy wherever she went.

Angie’s Catholic faith and music were at the heart of her life. She had an amazing voice and played the piano and organ for her church choir at St. John Davison for 22 years. Her strong faith guided her with compassion, generosity, and love. Her beautiful voice and kind heart and soul will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
