Gloria Diem

The angels came and took her to her forever home where she will see God and her husband and parents again.

A Memorial Mass will be held 11am Saturday, August 31, 2024 at St. John Evangelist Church Davison, 404 North Dayton Street.

Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery. 

Visitation 10am Saturday at church until the time the Mass. 

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. John Evangelist Church, Davison, St. Jude Children’s Hospital Memphis, Tennessee, or Adopt-a-Pet Fenton.

Gloria was born in Flint, Michigan on June 19, 1934 the daughter of Harry and Lona VandenBerg. In December of 1952 she married Howard A. Diem and they were blessed with a wonderful life. Gloria graduated from Flint Technical High School and worked part time in her senior year for the Retailer’s Credit Bureau. She later became an employee of Buick Motor Division, Service Department. When her husband passed away God led her to the Catholic Church which became a second life for her. She was a alter server at St John for a number of years.

Gloria is survived by her loving family, Son Gregory (Tama) Diem, Daughter Kelly (Richard) Williams, Grand Children, Jeremy (Melissa) Diem, April Diem, Nicholas Williams, Christopher Williams. Great Grand Children, Audrey Diem, Jenna and Alyssa Siefner, Jax Howard Williams.  

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2005, her parents Harry and Lona VandenBerg, parents-in-law Howard and Agnes Diem. Sisters-in-law Carole Piesko, and Barbara Herhold.
