Doris Stark

STARK, Doris J. (Morgan) – of Burton, MI, age 85, completed her earthly adventure on Saturday, March16, 2024. She and her departed husband, Donald A. Stark, who died on November 6, 2014, filled their lives with so many adventures shared with lots and lots of friends as well as their growing family. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Friday, May 10, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Private inurnment in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM – 1 PM Friday, May 10, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Anchored Heart Senior Living in Goodrich, MI.

Doris and Don were long time members of the Avion Club and the Michigan Buddie Kampers, as well as the Foresters in the Flint area. While in their late 60’s they personally built more than 50% of their new home in Hale themselves.

Doris retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1992 as a mail carrier and was a member of the Hale Quilters and Sit & Sew groups and she was Queen of her Red Hatters group. Doris was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church in Hale, MI and worked at the Hale Area Fish organization for many years.

In addition to her husband, Donald, Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Lottie Morgan; stepfather, George Tabaszewski; son, Terry Stark and 2 sisters, Judy Morgan, and Barbara Baxter. She is survived by daughters, Madonna (Jeff) Bennett, Joie (Doug) Hitchcock, Kristi (Brent) Garrett; brother, Tommy (Eunice) Morgan and sister, Marlene (LeRoy) Snyder of Missouri. She was also survived by her 9 grandchildren, Alexis (Mark) Liley, Trent (Shauna) Stark, Matthew Prusac, Adam (Jenny) McMurray, Luke (Mia) McMurray, Chloe Garcia, Taylor (David) Bainbridge, Sara (Brendan) Green, Morgan (Spencer) Blouw; 12 great grandchildren, Jamison Liley, Harrison McMurray, Landon and Harper McMurray, Laney Green, Kamryn and Kate Garcia, Myles James, Rozlyn and Wyatt Bainbridge, Jaxon Barden and Millie Blouw.

Doris was also survived by her sisters-in-law, Sally Felts of Gaines, MI and Jeri (Bob) Dickinson of Eugene, OR and her dear aunt, Zelma Dennis of California, a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews and so many dear friends she made over her 85 years of life.
