Jack Krupa

Jack Douglas Krupa of Prudenville, formerly of Davison, age 85, died Saturday June 29, 2024 at Stonegate Health Campus, Lapeer. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 4:00 pm Wednesday July 3, 2024 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison; with Fr. Denis Spitzley officiating. The family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm Wednesday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Jack’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Salgi Esophageal Cancer Foundation (hattps://salgi.org) or the charity of your choice.

Jack was born in Flint Michigan on October 24, 1938 the son of the late John and Marion (Bush) Krupa and had resided in Davison most of his life spending his retirement year in Prudenville. Jack was a graduate of St. Agnes Catholic Church and attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison. He was a member of the Houghton Lake Elks Lodge #1982. Jack enjoyed the outdoors and spent many hours on the golf course, but his real passion was on the water fishing. Jack had a love for cars from classic, to muscle to even junk cars. He had been a member of the Buick Club, and proud owner of several Packard’s over the years.  He was employed by General Motors AC Division until his retirement. Starting a second career Jack owned and operated Mid State Auto Salvage.

Surviving is daughter Amy (Brent Wright) Davis, and son Jon (Donna Hardwick) Krupa. He also leaves sister Debbie Toth, and the mother of his children Mary Krupa.  Surviving also is his special friend Betty Baker, and her children: Jill (Greg) Nichols, Tracy (Larry) Martin, his close and dear friends Lloyd & Paula Bonza and a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by sister Barbara Wright and his grand puppies Spike and Bella; A special thank you to Leslie Clason for all her support and compassion during this time.
