David Kita

KITA, David John – of Davison, age 73, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024 at Serene Garden Assisted Living. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held 1 PM Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423. Inurnment will be in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family will welcome visitors from 3-7 PM on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Wednesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 PM on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice, in David’s memory.

David was born in Flint, MI on June 27, 1950, son of the late Donald F. and Dorothy (Weisgerber) Kita. Celebrating a life well-lived, David embarked on his journey, graduating from the University of Michigan – Flint in 1972. He married Cynthia Grambush, and together they embarked on the beautiful journey of marriage on August 10, 1985. For 43 years, David dedicated himself to service, working for the Social Security Administration, leaving a mark of commitment and integrity. Beyond the confines of his profession, he found solace and enrichment in the pages of countless books, as an avid reader and history enthusiast. Most of all, David enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His warmth, laughter, and kindness enriched the lives of those around him, leaving a legacy of love.

David is survived by his loving wife, Cindy; daughter, Tracy (Josh) Larkin; siblings, Dottie (David Joseph) Boone, Danita (Tom) Riker and Deloris (John) Ervin; and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by sons, David Kita Jr., and Blair Kita; brother and sister-in-law, Donald (Terry) Kita; and brother-in-law, Donald Boone.
