GEIGER, Margaret “Maggie” Ann (Scanlon) – of Davison, MI, age 75 passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 25, 2024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 PM Friday, May 31, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Interment immediately following the Mass in St. John Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 1-2 PM Friday, May 31, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 6 PM Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Christian Service, in Maggie’s memory.  

Maggie was born in Flint, MI on December 16, 1948, daughter of the late Arthur and Geraldine (York) Scanlon. She was a graduate of St. Mary Catholic High School and Mott Community College, where she earned her LPN license. Her commitment to nursing led her to serve as a devoted nurse at Flint Osteopathic Hospital, where she tirelessly cared for others with empathy and skill. Outside of her profession, Maggie was deeply involved in her faith community as a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She also found joy in her membership with the Daughters of the American Revolution, pursuing her passion for genealogy, and indulging her love for collecting Hummel figurines. On December 16, 1988, Maggie married Donald Geiger. Together, they shared countless cherished memories and built a life filled with love, laughter, and companionship. Maggie leaves behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and love that will forever be remembered by those whose lives she touched. May her kind spirit and generous heart continue to inspire us all.

Maggie is survived by her loving and caring husband of 36 years, Donald Geiger; 7 children, Chris (Angela) Larner, Teresa (Dan) Leming, Doug (Bridgette) Geiger, Michael Geiger, Lori (Roger) Burgess, Mark (Sandy) Geiger and Cheryl (Brian) Beckley; 20 grandchildren, Jeffrey Larner, Casey Larner, Emma Larner, Lauren Leming, Sidney Leming, Sophia Leming, Delaney Geiger, Kyle Geiger, Ethan Geiger, McKenzie Geiger, Tyler, Rebecca (Ronnie) Geiger-Younger, Taylor (T.J.) VanKauren, Quintin Burgess, Samantha Beckley, Cassandra (Rex) Oden, Lindsey Beckley, Jonathan Geiger, David Geiger and Thomas Geiger; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Sue (Ben) Benbrook, Karen Newcombe and Jan Vance; brother, Patrick (Debbie) Scanlon; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Geraldine Scanlon.
