Maria Gora

Maria was born on June 17, 1937, in Illerberg, Germany to her late parents Jacob and Gertrude Kaeppeler. She went on to marry the love of her life Ronald Gora on November 16th, 1963. They were married for 51 wonderful years. You may also know Maria as the “Quilting Queen” at St. John Catholic church. Maria had quilted many, many, many quilts and prayer shawls for the Church. Maria’s perfect day would find her outside in her garden tending to the rose bushes. Roses were her favorite and she was very proud of her rose bushes. Maria would always say she had a green thumb but only for her outside plants, not so much for house plants.

Maria is survived by her children Francis, Thomas, and Patricia Gora; grandsons Andrew and Jacob Gora; nephews Juergen and Klaus Kaeppeler.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband Ronald, and brothers Hans, Bernie, and Karl Kaeppeler
